Mr. Adam Ronning
Mr. Ronning is in his third year as the Novi Middle School Band Director. Originally from West Michigan, he graduated from Sparta High School and attended Central Michigan University. At CMU, he studied music education with a minor in leadership studies. As a trombone player, he performed with many ensembles at CMU including the Symphonic Wind Ensemble, CMU Orchestra, Jazz Central, Trombone Choir, Jazzbones, and was a proud 4-year member of the Chippewa Marching Band serving two years as the Trombone Section Leader. He was also actively involved with the Leadership Institute focusing on service learning, facilitation, public speaking, and leadership styles and characteristics. After attending CMU, he spent some time assisting competitive marching bands and working as a long-term substitute band director teaching both band and choir courses in the West Michigan area.
In addition to working with the middle school bands, Mr. Ronning is also serving as the Assistant Marching Band Director working with the award winning Novi High School Marching Band. He works closely with Mr. Cooper from Novi Meadows as well as Mr. Hourigan from Novi High School to help instruct the comprehensive 5th-12th grade Novi Band Program. In his spare time he loves playing tennis, spending time with family and friends, camping, and playing with his dogs. |
